Employer Health Plans: As an employer, ensuring your employees have access to affordable, high-quality health insurance is crucial. We offer a wide range of health insurance carriers and options tailored to meet the unique needs of your workforce in Oregon and Washington state. From cost-effective plans to comprehensive coverage, we work with you to provide solutions for your team, while helping you navigate the complexities of employee benefits. Employers with 50+ employees are required to provide basic health insurance to eligible employees. Employers with fewer than 50 employees are not required to provide health insurance to employees, but many of them do. Many small employers are partnering with their employees to purchase group health insurance, and share in the premium cost, and there are some favorable tax treatments for sponsoring or participating an employer health plan. The employee cost through group health plans, with the employer contribution, and pre-tax savings, can be lower than what the employee would pay for a private plan. Some small employer health plans options are tax credit qualified, so eligible employers can get back up to 50% of their premium contribution for up to 24 months. Eligibility is based on group size, and average employee income, not counting owner salary. Non-profit organizations may also qualify for a tax credit up to 35%.
