Providence Health Plan to Stop Offering Health Insurance in 2027

Providence Health Plan has announced that it will stop offering health insurance coverage beginning in 2027.

This is an important change for Providence Health Plan members, but there is no immediate change to your 2026 coverage. Current coverage will continue through the remainder of 2026.

What Providence Members Need to Know

• Your current 2026 coverage remains in place. Nothing changes for Providence Health Plan members, customers, or provider partners right now.
• Providence Health Plan and the Providence health care system are separate. Providence hospitals, clinics, physicians, and other health care providers are not going out of business and will continue providing medical care.
• Providence Health Plan members will need to review their options for 2027. Depending on the type of coverage you have, this may mean selecting a new Individual, Medicare, or employer health insurance plan for next year.
